A young couple, a vegetable farm at the foot of the Apennine south of Parma, a farm shop growing in popularity and an old, but not yet habitable, house that will include spaces for community activities.
Amid the unprecedented challenges posed by climate change, the degradation of the environment, and the loss of biodiversity, Elena and Luca are among the many people, mostly young, who believe that there are alternative ways to produce, distribute, and consume food. Socially conscious, they are prepared to forego what could be more remunerative careers and to take greater risks to embrace a different life – a life that can help redress the damages inflicted on our planet by profit-driven human activity.
